2025 ENTRIES NOW OPEN

The Women in Sport Photo Action Awards (WISPAA) is Australia’s largest photography competition dedicated exclusively to women’s sport. This competition aims to generate greater recognition and respect for the power and athleticism of Australian women actively participating in sport.

Since its inception in 2019, WISPAA has received thousands of image submissions from hundreds of photographers. WISPAA celebrates women in sport and sports photography with professional, amateur and emerging photographer categories. WISPAA is free for photographers to enter and are judged by senior members of Australia’s sports media.

"It is an artform to capture these change-making moments in freeze- frames for everyone to enjoy and a powerful way to spark conversation about the great athletes’ strength, confidence and skill.” - WSA President, Helena Wurf
