Carol Fox Carol Fox has played a momentous role in the modern history of Women Sport Australia and was made a life member in 2021. Elected President in 2016 she drove the rebrand from Australian Womensport and Recreation Association (AWRA) to Women Sport Australia. As part of this rebrand she also reconfigured the board structure to 8 elected directors and 3 appointed directors. She drove the re-launch of the Women in Sport Mentoring Program in 2017 and to this day continues to facilitate the program alongside Bron Parry. | ||
Louise Evans OAM Louise Evans OAM was made a life member of Women Sport Australia in 2020. Serving on the Board as Communications Director from 2014 until 2020 her dedication to increasing the media profile and social media presence of Women Sport Australia was immeasurable. Her most significant contribution was the creation and delivery of the Women in Sport Photo Action Awards (#WISPAA) in 2019 which has become an annual initiative on the Women Sport Australia calendar since then. | ||
Janice Crosswhite OAM Janice Crosswhite OAM became the first life member of Women Sport Australia in 2016. As the founding president and former secretary of AWRA, Janice made a significant difference for women in sport by successfully lobbying government, sporting bodies and the media for equal funding, pay conditions and media coverage. In 2013 she guided AWRA to hire its first executive officer through a federal government grant and she also secured government grants for leadership and mentoring programs and projects for women and girls in sport on and off the field around Australia. |
