Louise is a career journalist who has worked around Australia and around the world as a reporter, foreign correspondent, editor and media executive for organisations including The Sydney Morning Herald (eight years), The Australian (11 years) and Australian Associated Press (five years in London and Beijing).
A women sports’ pioneer, Louise was the first female sports journalist hired by The Sydney Morning Herald and the first female sports editor employed by The Australian. Louise went on to work at six Olympic Games, six Commonwealth Games (most recently 2018 Gold Coast) and numerous world sporting championships.
More recently Louise works as a communications specialist, appearing as a presenter, moderator and judge at conferences, seminars and awards including for Mumbrella, the Australian Society for Sports History, Australian Associated Press Sports Editors Conference and annual Awards, the Melbourne Press Club and Women’s Health Women In Sport Awards.
