Women in Sport Brunch 2024
FRIDAY OCTOBER 11 – CENTREPIECE AT MELBOURNE PARK
The annual Women in Sport Brunch hosted by Women Sport Australia will be held at Centrepiece at Melbourne Park on Friday October 11, 2024.
With a new location for the event in the heart of Melbourne’s sporting mecca, the morning will feature a superb lineup of guest speakers to discuss why women are a key difference to a thriving culture.
Women have been proving they are making a huge difference across the sport sector. Our Aussie female Olympians dominated the medal count at the Paris 2024 Olympics along with similar statistics for other countries such as Canada and the US. The Matildas continue to draw attention and engagement with an incredible 14 consecutive sell out home match record. Internationally we saw a record-breaking ownership deal that saw Angel City FC (NSWL) valued at $US250 million and the WNBA secured a $US2.2billion broadcast deal off the back of the Caitlin Clark effect.
It’s safe to say women’s sport is finally seeing the cut-through that we knew could occur. Across our conversations, we will explore how we capitalise on this momentum and continue to push growth and engagement across all women’s sport to achieve the ultimate goal of equity for women and girls.
