Senator the Hon. Richard Colbeck loves sport and has been involved with local sporting groups and clubs for many years.
Richard was elected as Senator for Tasmania in 2001. He has held several parliamentary roles in the Australian Government, including in the areas of agriculture, forestry, finance, industry, science, research, and trade and Investment.
As Minister for Youth and Sport, he has a strong focus on youth mental health and local and community sport in Australia. He is also Minister for Aged Care and Senior Australians.

With a rich sporting background, Carol is the President of Women Sport Australia, was an Ambassador for the ICCT20 Women’s World Cup 2020, is a Mentor and Facilitator for the AFLW She Can Coach Project, is a co-patron of the AFL Premiership players club, is a Victoria University Women in Sport Research Ambassador and is a Mentor for Life Saving Victoria’s Young Leaders Program.
