WSA is the peak national advocacy organisation that fearlessly stands up for all women in all sport. We are a dynamic and enthusiastic volunteer, not-for-profit organisation that was incorporated in July 2005.

We are a volunteer board and now we need your help to assist us in achieving our goals.

This is a great volunteer opportunity to kick-start your career in sport, or perhaps give back to sport and support our next generation of athletes and leaders.

VOLUNTEER PROGRAMS ADMINISTRATOR

Casual - approx. 10 hours per week
Location: Melbourne

Please note this is a volunteer position suitable for gaining experience while studying or kick starting your career in sports/business administration, event management, marketing or communications or, you may have years of wisdom, some spare time and a passion for helping advance girls and women in sport!

We are passionate about supporting girls and women in all sports on and off the field across Australia. Our programs support women’s careers in sport and our advocacy drives advancement in our strategic priorities of:

  • Gender pay equity and a living wage for all elite female athletes
  • Equal access to sporting facilities and amenities for women and girls both on and off the field
  • Equal media time and space for women’s and men’s sports
  • Champion role models in women’s sport

We are a volunteer board and now we need your help to assist us in achieving our goals.

If you have a friendly and caring disposition, are skilled in providing quality customer service and have some experience in carrying out administrative support tasks, then we would love to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Co-ordinate, administer and support our Women In Sport Mentoring Program for 2019.
  • In conjunction with Directors, update Website and administer participant registrations for the 2019 Mentoring program
  • Develop a database of potential avenues to promote the program 
  • Post weekly on WSA Social Media channels. Contribute content ideas for Social Media (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and Instagram)
  • Respond to emails, messages and any kind of enquiries from program participants
  • Support Directors in organisation of workshops, venues, catering, fee payments 

Skills & Experience:

  • Strong computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office applications
  • Sound administrative skills, including strong attention to detail
  • Able to work without direct supervision
  • Reliable, punctual and dedicated
  • Have a willingness to engage in networking functions
